Short Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. This type of accommodation is often funded when your usual carers aren’t available, or for you to try new things

Under the NDIS, Short Term Accommodation (STA) is temporary supported accommodation for a period of 2-6 weeks, available through the Core funding of your plan. It can be used for respite to support you and your carers, providing your carers with a short break from their caring role

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
Medium Term Accommodation is funding for somewhere to live if you can’t move into your long term home because your disability supports aren’t ready. It is usually funded for up to 90 days and is provided while waiting for long term housing solutions or disability-related supports to be ready

Accessing Short & Medium-Term Accessible Accommodation Through NDIS
