NDIS Short term Accommodation replaces what we’ve previously called Respite and provides a wonderful opportunity for people with disability to have a holiday and for their families and carers to take a break. We ensure an overnight stay in one of our respite center’s feels like a home away from home, with routines maintained in an environment that feels as natural as possible.

We have a range of holiday or short-term stay properties available for our customers with NDIS Short term Accommodation funding in your NDIS plan or adequate funds within your Core Supports.

These options are designed to support individuals and their carers in accessing inclusive and accessible accommodation through the NDIS.

How long can you stay in one of P Homecare’s properties?

You can stay for the day, overnight, a weekend, a holiday, or longer. Our STA service supports people with disability to have a short stay away from their usual home, while providing planned respite for families caring for a person with disability. Our service is flexible and designed to be responsive to each family’s circumstances. Whether you choose to tap into our STA service for a few hours a week or use your STA funding to plan for a holiday, we can arrange for our trained staff to come to you, to support you at home* or you may prefer to plan a break at our holiday cottage. No matter the plan, our goal is to be available for you.

NDIS Short Term Accommodation offers the chance for a person with disability to enjoy a stay away from their family home, increase their independence, meet new peers and gain new skills, all while having their disability support needs met. P home care’s NDIS Short Term Accommodation service is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by disability support professionals. Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself.
