During the COVID-19 pandemic, Philips Homecare’s response to COVID-19 is to prioritise the health, safetyand wellbeing of our caregivers, clients and community.
Philips Homecare continues to monitor and follow guidelines set by the Federal Department of Health, the World Health Organisation and local and state health agencies in the delivery of home care during the Coronavirus crisis.

Philips Homecare COVID-19 service protocols
Philips Homecare is committed to ensuring that the caregivers, clients and community are well supported to deal with COVID-19. We take as many measure as possible to be safe. This includes:
- emergency plans in place for all your care recipients
- ensuring all care recipient details are up to date including their emergency contacts and current GP
- identifying care recipients who may have or have had their delivery interrupted and work with them and their families to discuss alternative models of delivery if required
- providing care recipients and their family members with a phone number to call if there is any change to the care recipient’s health condition or circumstances.
- Ensure that staff practice safe social distancing and hygiene when caring for people.
- Infection control training for all frontline staff
- Staff wearing face masks and other PPE as required
- Daily symptom checking of all residents, staff, contractors and volunteers
- Increased cleaning resources for stricter infection control
