From September 1, 2022, the voluntary eschewal– of- home care nonsupervisory system will be replaced with specialised cover domestic care. The new frame will be called technical cover domestic care( SSRC).

Specialised substitute residential care is a type of support available under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia. It is a form of residential care that is provided to people with disability who require a high level of support and supervision, but who do not wish to live with their families or in traditional group home settings.

Specialised substitute residential care is designed to provide individualised, high-quality care to people with disability in a home-like environment, where they can feel safe, supported and valued. The aim is to provide people with disability with the opportunity to live as independently as possible, while still receiving the support and supervision they need to live safely and comfortably.

Specialised substitute residential care is provided by NDIS registered providers, who are trained and experienced in providing high-quality care to people with disability. Providers work closely with participants and their families to develop a tailored care plan that meets their individual needs and goals. This may include support with daily living activities, such as personal care and household tasks, as well as assistance with social and recreational activities, healthcare needs, and education or employment goals.

The specialised substitute residential care model aims to provide people with disability with a safe and supportive environment in which to live, while also promoting their independence and social inclusion. It offers an alternative to traditional group home settings, and is particularly suited to people with disability who require a high level of support and supervision, but who do not wish to live with their families or in large, institutional settings.

Technical cover domestic care is arranged between a parent and an organisation when there are no enterprises for the child’s safety. SSRC is late care or short– term accommodation handed by an authorised organisation to a child or youthful person( 0- 17 times) down from their usual home SSRC Services available throughout New South Wales.
